Casino Night & Auction Raises $80K for Cancer Patients
After a long and fun filled night of exciting gambling, intense bidding wars, delicious eats, and wonderful cocktails, PS Charities brought in $80,000!
100% of the funds raised will be donated to the GW MFA Breast Care Center Patient Assistance Fund and the Katzen Cancer Center Patient Fund. This spectacular evening could not have been pulled off without the incredible support from our tireless volunteers, who ceased to work until the night was through, our dedicated sponsors, and, it goes with out saying, all those who came out and joined in on the fundraising festivities! When all was said and done, PS Charities could not have asked for a better night to raise money for two amazing organizations.
This event didn’t blossom over night; weeks, months and countless sleepless nights, were spent preparing. PS Charities knows the importance of recognizing all those who put in the hard work. All our volunteers made the night possible, but the extra surge of help from those such as, Beth Moss, Lisa McKeon, Ari Abraham, Ann Creagh, and a hand full of helpers from the ProSol employee staff, we truly couldn’t have pulled off such a successful night. It takes a special person and a giving heart, to dedicate such an immense amount of time. So for that, thank you, to all our volunteers, for helping make the Fourth Annual Caribbean Casino Night and Silent Auction, yet again, a huge success.
What separates PS Charities from so many other organizations, is that we are able to give 100% of donations raised to the causes we are supporting. This pledge would not be possible with out the support from our corporate sponsors, ProSol, ProSol Associates, and Pepper Hamilton, LLP, whom devote much time, effort, and financial backing. PS Charities would also like to give special recognition to our event sponsors.

With a turn out of over 150 guests, 100+auction items to bid on and eight lively casino tables, the night was nothing short of a triumph. But the greatest reward of the night was knowing that every dollar raised would be donated to those who truly are in need of these funds. The money raised goes to the patients’ funds at both the GW MFA Breast Care Center and the Katzen Cancer Center to help take some weight off their greatest endeavor; surviving cancer. The funds are used to purchase many of the things we might take advantage of, or things that simply wouldn’t cross our minds on an average day. Things such as wigs, post-mastectomy bras, parking vouchers, and transportation to and from the hospitals are just a small example of what these contributions are used for. These amazing resources also allow for special seminars for cancer support and knowledge, specialized physical therapy not covered by insurance, and other amenities made available to help make their process a little more comfortable.
Beneath all the fun and hard work, the true payoff comes from knowing PS Charities, and all those who support us, makes a difference in the lives of those who need it most. What an amazing feeling it is to see what hard work, a little team synergy, and a room full of caring hearts can really do.
